how time flies

Goodness, it’s 3 months since my last post for E’s 4th birthday in January. I guess a lot has happened in that time but in a rather ordinary, not very blog worthy way (or perhaps I’ve just been too tired!) Es birthday card - inside cropped
I celebrated my birthday in February and for the the first time in about 5 years (and the last probably for another 5 years) G and I had a meal out and overnight stay in a hotel. It was lovely but we ate too much and didn’t sleep well in our too-hot hotel room. We spoke of hopes for a blissful lie in. We woke at E’s usual 6am and were ravenous by the time we found ourselves first in line for the breakfast buffet at 7.30am. It was lovely of course but like many parents we were more keen to get back to our little fella than lounge around reading newspapers. (that’s a 30 week bump by the way not too much dinner!)

E’s being enjoying extra park dates with Daddy, grandparents and friends as I’ve found it increasingly difficulty to spend time standing around (oh the joy of a small frame and a big bump!)

Last month we visited the local primary school we want E to attend and this week we were lucky enough to find he has a place there for September.

And once April arrived we had the excitement of waiting to greet our new baby.
And waiting. And waiting. Despite our best efforts to help him along, including ”bumping bums” with his big brother, the baby is just too snug.
We’re hoping today is the day we finally meet him. We waved E off to playgroup this morning after taking this photo and the next time we see him will be when his baby is here (well that’s the plan, currently awaiting a call back from the hospital that they have a bed for us!). Bring it on!!!
