12 days of kindness with the Kindness Elves [Christmas 2015]

If you missed Euan’s introduction to the Kindness Elves on Day 1 click here

Day 2 – make a Christmas card or present for your friends

”I love making Christmas cards so much” declared Euan yesterday so I knew today’s suggestion from the Kindness Elves was going to be warmly received. E loves to sit at the kitchen table drawing and sticking and writing which is so lovely to silently observe.13-12-15 - Kindness Elves Day 2 4B

13-12-15 - Es card for Iridium 4B13-12-15 - E making a card for Iridium 4BE’s always been curious about letters and numbers and as soon as he could ask questions he’d point to road signs or lettering on grates and ask what it said. One of his favourite games is to call out a word, ask how it’s spelt and then write it down. It’s heart warming to be able to encourage his love of learning so simply through sincere communication and connection with him. Today he asked G to write out the alphabet so he could practice his letters. Such delight on his face when he realised he was writing S backwards and then wrote it the right way with no assistance but his own careful observation and determination.
