Some people have a tradition of taking a photo each New Year’s day to mark the changing faces of their growing family. I’m not one of those forward thinking people, though I really like the idea of it. We didn’t even think to get the camera out much at Christmas or during our traditional New Years day walk. It was quite refreshing in fact not to be documenting the simplicity of quiet moments together or time spent with friends. We do have a changing-face-of-E measure of sorts; sitting inside the sculpture at our favourite gardens. This frosty walk was the last of our Hillfield Garden visits for 2014.
Our sweet boy is growing up too fast!

It gives me a (nice) chill every time I go back and look at the pictures. The life, the experiences, the connections which the images portray – amazing!
So, how about an annual picture of you, G and E? The lady who took the lovely 3rd birthday portraits might be a good place to start?
that is a great article and love the foresight they had to do that every year!
Yes we do need to do an annual pic! We have the lovely photos our friend took when E was 10 months old and then not much in between! At E’s birthday party last week we didn’t even get one of the 3 of us, too busy playing host! Perhaps I should reignite the ”Me and Mine” monthly family portrait posts for 2015!
[…] might as well be outdoors. On that note it’s after 6pm and we’re going to head off to our favourite local park Hillfield Gardens with boys, bike and scooter. Enjoy a few of our beach snaps before I go and I’ll catch up […]
