eeek, 23.30 is not the time to realise it’s the last day of the month! I hadn’t even thought about this month’s Me and Mine post – too busy having fun at Cotswold Farm Park today with Nana and Grandad to realise what day it was!
How time has flown this month, aided by lovely weather to continue our regular park visits, days out with family and visits from close friends from the North East and the Isle of Wight. Quality time with loved ones has kept us sane during another month of DIY chaos at home. Poor G has been without his home office for 3 months now but the end is in sight. Perhaps next month’s photos will finally see us experimenting with a tripod and self-timer in our newly decorated lounge…
This month’s family portrait, taken at Wenchford in the Forest of Dean, is a lovely reminder of an idyllic afternoon spent with our dear friends Sue, Mike and Charlie. They’re moving to Ireland shortly so this was probably our last family meet up with them (sigh, heart squeeze). E’s rocking the nappy and wellies look after paddling in the brook after doing his usual over eager run/ wobble/splat/sit.
We feel so fortunate to have such terrific fellow parent friends – E has some fabulous big boys in his life. During his visit from Rory and Joe he learnt about how not to persuade big boys, immune to baby charms, to part with chocolate buttons. ”Go Joe, go” when he felt his personal space invaded wasn’t really the line to come out with to feel the chocolate button love from Joe!

This is a lovely photo, and you all look really happy. I love the bit about the chocolate buttons. It looks like a great day out. x
Awwww, such a lovely photo. It definitely sounds like you’ve been making the most of the nice weather. X
The fact that you forgot to blog this until right at the last minute shows what a fun month you have been having. August was so lovely, it’s brilliant to see that reflected in so many of this month’s Me and Mine posts.
Katie – it was one of those totally lovely blissful sunny afternoons :o)
Lucy – we’re lucky to have the Forest on our doorstep – 30 mins to reach such great outdoor spots
Chloe – I thought that too, August has been quite special this year compared to previous damp squib summers!
Lovely photo! Love the farm snaps too! The middle right one with the goat made me smile! 🙂 x
thanks Charlotte, that’s my favourite one too :o)
Lovely photo just natural moment and that’s what matters x
