What a month it’s been, most notably for the copious amounts of snot fall! We were happy to spend time indoors through the freezing cold snap and snow showers as we suffered the grip of a major snotfest and chesty coughs. E had just bought the lurgy into the house when this photo was taken on Mother’s Day and it stayed with us for several weeks. Just as E’s top lip finally began to dry out G fell ill and we all got chest infections. What a test of our metal that was – there really is nothing more grim than both parents being ill at the same time.
Being dangled upside down when you’re sinuses are stuffy comes highly recommended by E, especially when accompanied by a tummy tickle. What a trooper he was – still smiling most days despite of feeling so grotty.

Hehehe. I love that silly second photo. So fun.
Sorry to hear you’ve been a house full of lurgies. It’s this silly long Winter we’ve been having, we need Spring. x
Such lovely family pictures! Super cute!
Good to see the three of you looking much better (after lunch)
on Sunday. A bright afternoon all round.
Love the second photo! It’s made me smile! xx
Sorry you’ve all been so poorly. You are right, two poorly parents is not fun at all!
Lovely photos xx
Oh no, horrible when both parents are ill at the same time, let alone the children! This really has been the ‘winter of long-lasting illnesses’ for a lot of families.
Copious amounts of snot fall here too. Great photos and I love the tummy tickle one 🙂
We’ve had a LOT of snot fall here too! Urgh!
Hope all your lurgy goes soon 🙂 Here’s to a snot free April! B x
It’s a constant stream in our house too!
[…] This time last year E had a cold for weeks. This month it was my turn with a lingering cough that turned into a stuffy nose post swim! I seem to have shaken it off faster than all other colds in the last 2 years – proof that unbroken sleep really is the best medicine now E no longer wakes at night (hoorah). […]
