… when Robins fluff up their feathers

And there is ice on the inside of the greenhouse windows
I’m sat here with a hot water bottle on my lap – no snow as yet though!

Ah what gorgeous photos! Yes it is getting cold isn’t it 🙂
cute robin pic – hope s/he is not too cold!
When I got up this morning it was -9C outside, I won’t be going out. We’ve got snow and I can’t see it melting for a while. Love the robin picture, it’s the wood pigeons I’ve been watching, they’ve got their heads tucked down and feathers fluffed out.
I am sitting comfy in the flat with lots of layers and thick socks. Lovely photographs.
Lovely pics! we know it’s cold when we wake up with two poodles in the middle of the bed. Chaffinches, robins, goldfinches investigating the seed heads on the verbena bonariensis… it’s all go in our little garden. The raised veg bed turns into a huge bird feeding station, (the dogs can’t get up there).
Simon – you’ve reminded me of past cars and houses. Ice on the inside, decidedly brrrrr
Nina – hope that’s for total pleasure and relaxation and not because you’ve succumbed to little Boo’s germs.
Angela – certainly is – a white Christmas ahead perhaps?
Johanna – passed the fluffy feather test so I think he’ll be fine ;o)
Ann – yikes, that’s really cold. At least you can see the birds from the warm side of the window
MC – best place to be!
Joanna – I know what you mean with pets on the bed. If I sit down for even a few minutes Billy climbs up on my lap. It’s the best reason for taking a break 😮
I bet the birds are delighted with their buffet table veg patch!
That Robin is almost completely spherical ! Reminds me of a picture in a children’s book…
brrrr it was even colder today, yes I got ice on the inside of my kitchen window! the only one that isn’t double glazed!
Like the bees on your jars.
I am also sitting with the cats & dog around the open fire roasting chestnuts.
Hi Molly, a recycled honey jar given to me by a friend. cute isn’t it.
What do you have to do to your bees to keep them safe through the winter?
We’ve been spending lots of time snuggled up indoors underneath a cat or two! No chestnuts though, we have to wait to come to George’s for that :o)
Billy has definitely got the right idea!!
