Each new year starts the same; an afternoon walk on Crickley Hill with friends. No matter what happens through the course of the year we know we’re giving it the best possible start by freezing our cheeks off to bimble about on a hill with our nearest and dearest.
I hope 2010 has begun wonderfully for you too. If you ever find yourself in Gloucestershire on the first day of the year you’ll know where to find us!
Thank you for the warm welcome, Nic.
Many Happy New Years to your and your loved ones.
You won’t catch me outside in this weather!!!
Hope you had a lovely Christmas and have a great 2010
Sounds like a great place to see in the New Year – I hope you manifest all your desires in 2010 🙂
A Happy new year to you and your family. Thanks for the picture. I led a walk on Saturday, on Robinswood Hill. We walked round the hill, so not too much climbing, distance about 3 miles. It was a wonderful day with plenty of views.
Regards, Don

Ah! How I miss hills, especially the ones around Gloucester. I grew up there. Wasn’t going to mention it, but this post has made me all nostalgic. Robinswood and Chosen Hills were my main haunts. I live in the Benelux region, and there are no hills to be found. It’s funny how I only remember how great they are when I visit my mum and dad.
what a small world it is Fiona! Glad you were cheered with a little nostalgia from home. Hope you’re feeling better now.
