If you’re looking for a gardener who really knows their onions, well that wouldn’t be me. You probably think I’m being modest but let me explain: I really don’t know my onions because they were another Dave donation and in my eagerness to accept them I forgot to ask what variety they are. They’re not as big as Lesters japanese onions but I’m pleased with how uniformly they’ve grown and how beautifully they’ve dried out for storing. 40 sets planted on the 26th April and not a single loss when lifted on the 25th July.

Wish my onions looked that good – BIG!
